There's a newer version of tse3, 0.3.1. It's the only version with which I was able to successfully build media-sound/noteedit-2.8.0. See http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=3700&package_id=3650 . Unfortunately, it doesn't compile with gcc-4.1.1 (though it works fine with 3.4.6).
