Description Viktors Rotanovs 2006-08-04 08:31:21 UTC
/sbin/rc executes dmesg -n 1 -- that's not convenient for servers which do netconsole logging separately from system logger (for example, to app-admin/cancd); setting kernel.printk in /etc/sysctl.conf doesn't help since dmesg is executed when switching to runlevel 3 and sysctl is run by bootmisc (runlevel 2).

next release will have a RC_DMESG_LEVEL variable in /etc/conf.d/rc
