Is there a special reason I don't know of that the ebuilds provided for wxGTK 
are calling make explicitly instead of emake? Using emake would have the 
advantage of respecting the MAKEOPTS variable which in turn allows to specify 
parallel build. 
I tested it twice with distcc on three machines and found no problems.
