When the Crypt::SSLeay module is used, it gives a segmentation fault. This is a known bug (see the URL for solution). Can we add this fix so it works? Versions affected: 0.51 Example: 1) emerge libwww-perl and Crypt-SSLeay 2) perl -MLWP::Simple -e'getprint("https://google.com/")' Any https:// site should produce this result. Actual Results: "Segmentation Fault" is displayed and the program using SSLeay dies. Expected Results: The program works. In the above case, http://google.com/'s HTML source should be displayed. I was able to verify that it indeed does fix the bug. From what I've read from some Google searches, this seems to affect OpenSSL and anything else that uses it.
Having same issue - breaks the fetchyahoo package with secure authentication enabled.
