The releng website (http://www.gentoo.org/proj/en/releng/index.xml) lists 2006.1 as current version, however: a) It also lists it as next version b) It's not on any mirrors c) Lower down it is marked as not released.
Isn't "Aug 2006 | 2006.1 | Not Released" obvious enough? Not infra-related anyway.

A separate plaintext file or xml reading the current release of different architectures would be great, but I failed to find anything like that on gentoo site. I'm sorry, "infra-related"?
I fixed this... Anyway, don't use the web page, as I rarely update it. Use the "current" link on the mirrors.

Therefore, a centralised way to determine the version is necessary for me, and so I used this web page. Thanks for updating the webpage though.
