When I try to run gnome-volume-control, I get a segfault. I am using gnome-media-2.14.2. I'll attach an strace output. A backtrace with debugging info would be helpful.
I added "debug" to the USE flags for gnome-media, re-emerged and ran an s-trace. I don't think it's really useful though. I don't see any line numbers in the output.(Do I need to re-emerge libgnome with debug on?) I also ran a valgrind on it. I've attached both.

run it in gdb and do 't a a bt' when the application segfaults. See http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/bugzilla-howto.xml#doc_chap2 for a more extensive guide.
Problem fixed itself in an update.
