I doubt we can do anything for you on this. You're better off posting in the forums and seeing if someone can help you with your setup.

>Couldn't open RGB_DB '/usr/lib64/X11/rgb'

X installation issue (maybe fixed in between) and/or missing symlink from /usr/lib to /usr/lib64.

amd64 team, known issue?
Comment 5 Daniel Gryniewicz (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-17 08:49:22 UTC
rgb.txt is in /usr/share/X11 now, not /usr/lib[64]/X11

There should be a /usr/lib -> /usr/lib64 symlink, but that won't help in this case, since it's looking in /usr/lib64 already.

Usually, this is a bad line in the xorg.conf file. Look for a line listing /usr/lib64/X11/rgb.txt, and delete that line. X knows how to find that file aready.

Of course, thanks fro mentioning it Daniel.

Max, could you drop a line, if it is the xorg.conf?
Comment 7 Max Dilay 2006-08-25 03:04:58 UTC
Oh. I resolved my problem many times ago :). There are very aggresive cflags. Rebuild world is heleped me. In my xorg.conf i have RgbPath "/usr/lib64/X11/rgb". And /usr/lib64/X11/rgb.txt is symlink to /usr/share/X11/rgb.txt. Becouse without this emacs, xterm and some other apps don't start
Comment 8 Carsten Lohrke (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-26 08:08:36 UTC
emacs and xterm start for sure without such a symlink. It's really better you report issues as you encounter them, instead working around them with symlinks. Especially adjusting the code for a simple path issue is quite simple.

Resolving invalid as using unsafe compiler flags is a local problem.
