I'm on amd64 too and it works just fine here. I somehow doubt it's really a amd64-specific issue. I see you're running a hardened kernel with a normal profile, maybe that could be the problem? Please try it with a non-hardened kernel and let us know whether that is a workaround or not.
Comment 2 Andrej Kacian (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-12-10 02:35:40 UTC
I'm running hardened-sources with non-hardened profile too, although on x86 arch. bdc works here:

Comment 3 Andrija Prčić 2007-01-15 20:37:18 UTC
Works fine here, not using hardened kernel/sources at all. Could also be a problem with old glibc.
Also I don't have any of those mentioned libs in /emul/linux/ but in /lib32/ or /usr/lib32/
Maybe you should consider an upgrade of system packages.

Also, try installing bitdefender-console-7.1, which is in the tree, but package.masked, because I can't figure out how to avoid collision-protect breakage. (To reproduce it, install 7.0.1-r1, bdc --update, install 7.1)
Comment 5 Simon Stelling (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2007-02-06 13:42:20 UTC
this is fixed as far as amd64 is concerned
