emul-linux-x86-gtklibs is currently using a fairly old gtk+. One side effect of this is with the Clearlooks engine. If the current engine settings are used for the Clearlooks theme, then the 32-bit Clearlooks engine crashes with the error: "/usr/share/themes/Clearlooks/gtk-2.0/gtkrc:52: error: unexpected identifier `scrollbar_color', expected character `}'" As a result, 32-bit apps look like gtk1 apps, with ugly motif-like buttons and menus. Upstream suggested backporting changes to the older engines back in January to keep the engine from crashing, but have never followed through (see http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=326766). For this reason, as well as for keeping up with gtk+ changes in general, emul-linux-x86-gtklibs needs to be updated with more recent libraries.
Yeah, it's about time I bumped this...
If someone tells me how the emul libraries are built, I will be happy to build a beta version of the 2.10 GTK Linux32 libs...
emul-linux-x86-gtklibs-2.10.6 is now in the tree.
