I have the same error with latest k3b-0.12.14 and dvd+rw-tools-6.1-r1. I fixed that problem downgrading (growisofs) dvd+rw-tools from 6.1-r1 to 5.21.4.10.8. Greetings!
Matthias: Did miknix's measure work for you, too? media-optical team: I saw an arch thread, which implicates that this is indeed a problem with dvd+rw-tools 6.x
Ok, downgrading dvd+rw-tools to version 5.21.4.10.8 did the trick, now I can burn DVDs in k3b again. Thanks!
Nah, not a solution. The software should work for everyone.

Changed the summary, this is a dvd+rw-tools-6.x issue and summary should state it clearly.
Have you tried with dvd+rw-tools-7.0 (now in testing). Ir works fine for me :-) Goos luck!
