this is a new ebuild just tested a little on some boxes... It provides YanC, a software which provides a great GUI to tune oneself video card based on nvidia chipsets. I hope it will be ok ;c)
Created attachment 7464 [details] YanC ebuild I propose media-video/yanc for this ebuild ! ;c)
Created attachment 7629 [details] New ebuild for the new YanC (0.1.4) Update of the last ebuild (I've only change its name) to install the YanC's last version (0.1.4) which has come 6 days ago.
Anybody wanna have a look ?,
Created attachment 8454 [details] New version : YanC-0.2.0 Here you can found a working ebuild for x86 for YanC. I added the installation of more docs that I forgot for previous ebuilds. I think it is possible to make it better with : DEPEND="x11-libs/qt" because I think the qt libs needed seems to be included in YanC (it is precompiled). I hope it would be integrated to the portage tree because it is a great tool to make the nvidia shaping easier for many people.
sorry to have taken so long. added to portage.
great... I'll soon work on YanC-0.2.1 then. :c) thanks seemant :c) (you've made great changes into the ebuild, glop :c) But I have a question... I did not give the copyright to Gentoo Inc. and I can see it in the validated ebuild :c/ Keeping the copyright on my name or on my company's one can make us sure that it would stay under GPL. What about the Gentoo Inc. policy about that ?
You did not submit an ebuild with a copyright notice. Seeing the changes that I had to make, I felt it was more of a Gentoo work at the end of it. If you disagree, we can discuss it.
lol... no pb... you're right. But this was a great question I had from time on other stuff. For this one, no pb, your work was enough important to do so. But I've never seen a long list of copyrights for all code copyrighted under Gentoo Inc. one. so, for this one, no pb ;c) for other stuff, I would still be attentive.
When you submit your next ebuild, please submit it WITH your copyright info. To help you along there's a file: /usr/portage/skel.ebuild and there is a Developer's Documentation page in the docs section on the main gentoo.org website. Please follow that.
