I have updated to the new, modular, xorg-server and now the system steadily crashes when a 3d application is started (e.g. glxgears).

I have installed it all after the howto, so I have now:
x11-base/xorg-server 1.0.2-r7
x11-base/xorg-x11 7.0-r1
media-video/nvidia-kernel-1.0.8756-r1
media-video/nvidia-glx-1.0.8756

also have tried:
media-video/nvidia-kernel-1.0.8762-r1
media-video/nvidia-glx-1.0.8762

glx with dlloader enabled.

Would like to send you a log but it doesn't seem to log anywhere when crashing.

Best Regards

I'm sorry for having opened this bug...
It seems that the power-supply broke somehow, the evening I updated to xorg-7.0.1-r1.
I tested 3d-applications on Windows today (dual-boot) and it was the same (System reboots).
Changed the Power Supply, now everything runs fine.

Best Regards
