Amarok has the capability to show the current track when the mouse pointer is behind amarok icon in Task Bar, but when Media Control is installed in a KDE Bar, this info is shown in this Media Control applet instead of in amarok icon (see the image attached for seing)

This info should be shown in amarok app in the Task Bar.
