Comment 1 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-28 10:14:56 UTC
Uhm, why?
Comment 2 Enrico 'nekrad' Weigelt 2006-07-28 10:18:40 UTC
Make it smaller. Kick off unneeded stuff.
Comment 3 Jakub Moc (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-28 10:25:04 UTC
I really don't see how is help unneeded...
Comment 4 Enrico 'nekrad' Weigelt 2006-07-28 10:49:39 UTC
Well, in all these years, I never ever used it, and so I'd like to switch it off.
Others, who might want to use it, can still leave it enabled.
Comment 5 Christian Marie (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-01 23:33:53 UTC
There doesn't seem to be any simple facility to turn off the help browser, it's quite integrated. I don't think this is practical.
Comment 6 Enrico 'nekrad' Weigelt 2006-08-02 14:04:34 UTC
Can anyone tell me how to look for it in the code, so I can kick it off by myself ?

The help seems to be stored in /usr/lib/seamonkey/chrome/en-US.jar, which contains the locales. If you really must remove the help, you will want to unjar it, remove the help only, jar it back up and hope seamonkey doesn't notice you. I'd say there's a good chance seamonkey will catch you though and promptly implode.
Comment 9 Bryan Østergaard (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-10-23 02:12:55 UTC
WONTFIX'ing as we want to stay close to upstream.
Comment 10 Enrico 'nekrad' Weigelt 2006-12-18 09:22:49 UTC
See https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364232

It's alredy possible (by adapting the ebuild).

Please assign the bug to me, if you like me to supply a patch :)
(will take some days, since building mozilla stuff takes really, really long time :()
