Bug 142003 – Installer from LiveCD 2006.0 fails when trying to install kernel

This happened two times. The first time i tried using the "gentoo-sources" for the kernel, this time using "livecd-kernel". I'm attaching the logs in a second.

Can you attach the /tmp/compile_output.log? Also, can you try updating to CVS by opening a terminal and running '/opt/installer/misc/updategtkfe' and trying again?

The logfile didn't exist anymore.

I'm trying to update now.

Didn't work this time as well, I'm attaching the logs now. The compile_log doesn't exist anymore again, only a broken symlink in /tmp/ which points to /mnt/gentoo.

So mount /mnt/gentoo by hand and extract the compile_output.log

Edited XML file by hand and b0rked it
