This was added recently to bootstrap.sh

Daniel: is there a good reason it's there aside from your buildscripts needing
this?  It's causing failures (have had 2 reports that PPC people are getting gcc
segfaults of gcc with these options enabled).  They both worked fine by removing
these options.

I think this should be removed
