The installCD for amd64 systems does not have a bootsplash. However, it is using framebuffer-mode, and my dmesg is not telling me anything about a splash (it does say that it is using a framebuffer), so my guess is that someone forgot to add the botosplash-image.

Feel free to RESOLVE the bug once you've fixed it in an uploaded ISO.
