media-tv/linuxtv-dvb-apps-1.1.1-r1 is missing /usr/share/dvb/av7110_loadkeys/* files.
I had to install media-tv/linuxtv-dvb-apps-cvs from gentoo-de overlay to get this.

Perhaps I should add another cvs-snapshot as the 1.1.1 release wasn't of such a high quality.

I think it is an ebuild problem, not a package problem. linuxtv-dvb-apps-1.1.1.tar.bz2 does contain "av7110_loadkeys" under "utils" folder.

These files are present in linuxtv-dvb-apps-1.1.1.20060917.
I now install them directly from the ebuild instead of patching that part into the Makefile for every release.

You could also have used an older version of the ebuild - e.g. linuxtv-dvb-apps-1.1.0_p20060423
