Description Markus 2006-07-25 19:01:44 UTC
When emerging wireshark with the use-flag ssl set (without gnutls installed), the configure will produce a warning that ssl support has been disabled as no libgnutls was found.
Comment 1 Markus 2006-07-26 06:33:01 UTC
[ebuild R ] net-analyzer/wireshark-0.99.2 USE="gtk ssl threads -adns -ipv6 -kerberos -snmp"

checking for libgnutls-config... no
checking for libgnutls - version >= 1.0.0... no

echo gnuTLS not found, disabling ssl decryption

Use GNU crypto library : yes
Use SSL crypto library : yes
                Use gnutls library : no

With the gnutls installed afterwards it will not work! So its obviously no runtime-dependency!
Comment 2 Daniel Black (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-08-24 04:18:19 UTC
it was a build time dependency due to the fix put in for bug 141021.

As bug 144946 will fix this I'm not going to backfix 0.99.2
