Description Alexander Mieland 2006-07-25 10:00:58 UTC
There's one important point which should be added to the ppc-handbook.
When using an oldworld Mac with Mac OS X it would not be possible to use BootX to boot from CD, because BootX is only supported by Mac OS <= 9.
You'll need at least classic support on Mac OS X.

"The most simple solution is to use MacOS to bootstrap into a Linux environment with a tool called BootX."

MacOS refers to OS9 or older. I can clarify this, but that's the usual terminology. BootX should not work in classic.

I added a note in the 2006.0 handbook and the "live" handbook. Feel free to reopen if you think it's not adequate.

Thanks! :)
