To be consistent with mod_perl, mod_php (and any other Apache mod_, really), the dev-ruby/mod-ruby ebuilds should probably be called mod_ruby (with an underscore). That's also what the creators of the module call it (see http://www.modruby.net). Secondly, the description for mod-ruby-1.0.1.ebuild currently says "An Apache2 DSO providing an embedded Tcl interpreter". That should obviously be "ruby" instead of "tcl". Minor points, I know, especially since both of these ebuilds are currently masked. I thought I'd make mention here in case you guys weren't aware.
should also be in net-www ;)
nit-picker huh? ok, fair enough. will address in near future.
Underscores are not allowed in package names according to Gentoo policy: http://www.gentoo.org/doc/en/policy.xml#doc_chap2 Yes, mod_perl, mod_php, etc. do conflict with policy and it is they that need to be changed.
now that's it's been muddled, forget it.
