appears to be something wrong there.. should probably be in /usr/lib .

This is a source-level issue with SILC.  It disobeys explicit --prefix and
--libdir commands to ./configure, even though ./configure states that it will
obey them.  I'll put a bug up on SILC's Bugzilla when it's back up.

This has been fixed in the latest release.  Excellent.  Marking RESOLVED FIXED.
