Upgrading from 0.9.1 to 0.9.2 breaks multisynk, and raki syncing is still non functional. Leaving synce-0.9.2 emerged, and downgrading synce-libsynce-0.9.1, and synce-librapi2-0.9.1 fixes multisynk functionality so ppc can once again be synced with kontact. This has messed up my emerge -uvDa world's at least till this is fixed, and the new raki sync functionality would be nice. I suppose I could edit the 0.9.2 ebuild and downgrade the libsync and librapi2 dependency. emerge info *** Deprecated use of action 'info', use '--info' instead Portage 2.1.1_pre3-r3 (default-linux/x86/2005.1, gcc-4.1.1/vanilla, glibc-2.4-r3, 2.6.16-ck10 i686) ================================================================= System uname: 2.6.16-ck10 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) M processor 1.73GHz Gentoo Base System version 1.12.1 app-admin/eselect-compiler: 2.0.0_rc2-r1 dev-lang/python: 2.3.5-r2, 2.4.3-r1 dev-python/pycrypto: 2.0.1-r5 dev-util/ccache: [Not Present] dev-util/confcache: [Not Present] sys-apps/sandbox: 1.2.18.1 sys-devel/autoconf: 2.13, 2.60 sys-devel/automake: 1.4_p6, 1.5, 1.6.3, 1.7.9-r1, 1.8.5-r3, 1.9.6-r2 sys-devel/binutils: 2.17 sys-devel/gcc-config: 2.0.0_rc1 sys-devel/libtool: 1.5.22 virtual/os-headers: 2.6.11-r5 ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="x86 ~x86" AUTOCLEAN="yes" CBUILD="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CFLAGS="-march=pentium-m -O2 -pipe -fforce-addr -fomit-frame-pointer -funroll-loops -frerun-loop-opt -frerun-cse-after-loop -falign-functions=4" CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu" CONFIG_PROTECT="/etc /usr/kde/3.5/env /usr/kde/3.5/share/config /usr/kde/3.5/shutdown /usr/share/X11/xkb /usr/share/config" CONFIG_PROTECT_MASK="/etc/env.d /etc/env.d/java/ /etc/eselect/compiler /etc/gconf /etc/java-config/vms/ /etc/revdep-rebuild /etc/splash /etc/terminfo /etc/texmf/web2c" CXXFLAGS="-march=pentium-m -O2 -pipe -fforce-addr -fomit-frame-pointer -funroll-loops -frerun-loop-opt -frerun-cse-after-loop -falign-functions=4" DISTDIR="/usr/portage/distfiles" FEATURES="autoconfig distlocks metadata-transfer sandbox sfperms strict" GENTOO_MIRRORS="http://distfiles.gentoo.org http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/gentoo" MAKEOPTS="-j2" PKGDIR="/usr/portage/packages" PORTAGE_RSYNC_OPTS="--recursive --links --safe-links --perms --times --compress --force --whole-file --delete --delete-after --stats --timeout=180 --exclude='/distfiles' --exclude='/local' --exclude='/packages'" PORTAGE_TMPDIR="/var/tmp" PORTDIR="/usr/portage" PORTDIR_OVERLAY="/etc/portage/overlay" SYNC="rsync://rsync.gentoo.org/gentoo-portage" USE="x86 3dnow X a52 aac aci acpi acpi4linux aim akode alsa apache2 apm arts audiofile avahi avantgo avi berkdb bitmap-fonts bluetooth bzip2 cdda cddb cdparanoia cdr cdrom ck-plus cli cpdflib crypt cups curl dba dbase dbus dga divx4linux dlloader doc dri dv dvd dvdr dvdread eds emboss encode fax fbcon ffmpeg filepro firefox flac flash flatfile foomaticdb fortran ftp fullrpc gd gdbm gif gimp gimpprint glade glx gpm gps gs gtk gtk2 hal hbci i8x0 icq id3 ieee1394 imagemagick imap imlib ipod ipv6 isdnlog jabber java javascript jpeg kcal kde kdeenablefinal kdehiddenvisibility kdepim kexi koffice-plugin lame libg++ libwww logitech-mouse mad maildir mdb mdnsresponder-compat mikmod mime mmx mmx2 mmxext mng motif mozsvg mp3 mp4live mpeg mpeg2 mplayer msn mysql mysqli ncurses nls nptl nptlonly nsplugin oav odbc ofx ogg oggvorbis openal opengl oss pam pcmcia pcre pda pdf pdflib perl php plugin png postgres ppds pppd python qt qt3 qt4 quicktime rar rdesktop readline real reflection samba scanner sdl session slang slp smartcard smime sms sndfile snmp speedo spell spl sqlite sqlite3 sse ssl subtitles svg svga sysfs tcltk tcpd tidy tiff transcode transparent-proxy truetype truetype-fonts type1 type1-fonts udev usb v4l v4l2 vcd vhosts vidix vorbis wifi win32codecs wmf xanim xbase xcomposite xforms xine xinerama xml xml2 xmms xorg xpm xv xvid xvmc yahoo zip zlib elibc_glibc input_devices_keyboard input_devices_mouse input_devices_synaptics kernel_linux userland_GNU video_cards_nvidia video_cards_nv video_cards_vesa video_cards_fbdev video_cards_vmware" Unset: CTARGET, EMERGE_DEFAULT_OPTS, INSTALL_MASK, LANG, LC_ALL, LDFLAGS, LINGUAS, PORTAGE_RSYNC_EXTRA_OPTS
check the portage man page about /etc/portage/package.mask about masking certain packages that you don't like. in the mean time, can you be more specific about the problem, and what is raki syncing? is there anything that might help upstream developers with your problems like debug logs? or if you have reported this upstream, can you provide a link to the bug report?

Trying to use multisynk like 0.9.1 versions just crashes. pstatus states: pstatus: Could not find configuration at path '(Default)' After downgrading the above libraries to the previous versions (and leaving the rest of synce at the 0.9.2) the system works as before the upgrade, (using multisynk to sync contacts, appointments, and such, raki for avantgo, and rapip) Let me know if there is further you need. The upstream folks on the ml, state the versions should be fine and suggest purging config files, this not able to solve the problem. I did some googleing and found some old info about syncekonnector stuff not being installed in the correct dir, but that should not effect rapip?

mescalinum: this can be closed since 0.13 or 0.14 should be used by now :) Can <0.13 be removed from portage?
