Description Andrey Falko 2006-07-21 10:40:52 UTC
Title pretty much says it all. Portion of cpuinfo:
livecd ~ # cat /proc/cpuinfo
processor : 0
vendor_id : AuthenticAMD
cpu family : 15
model : 47
model name : AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+
stepping : 0
cpu MHz : 1809.294
cache size : 512 KB

livecd used is:
5399536f373ad73126afbe4776e64178 install-amd64-minimal-2006.1.iso

Also, this is a question unrelated to this bug: Is there supposed to be a fancy purple framebuffer in the background on this livecd like on the x86 ones?
Comment 1 Hubert Mercier (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-21 10:55:02 UTC
Probably the same issue that bug #141078 ?
Comment 2 Andrey Falko 2006-07-21 10:59:41 UTC
Maybe, but I have no such issues when booting x86 cds.
Comment 3 Andrew Gaffney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-21 11:14:51 UTC
The amd64 minimal CD is about a week old. This issue was fixed a day or 2 ago, and the x86 CD has been rebuilt since then.

Hmmm...I was using the media provided in the link from the amd64 testers email. Is this out of date? The media I downloaded said that it was posted on the 20th.
Comment 5 Andrew Gaffney (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-21 13:02:01 UTC
It was posted on the 20th, but I believe it was built prior to that.
Comment 6 Danny van Dyk (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-22 04:44:50 UTC
Building a new minimal CD right now.

Please test with latest minimal CD:
cc084ffe3d0c5da0c8c6b8360bc7d934 install-amd64-minimal-2006.1.iso
Comment 8 Andrey Falko 2006-07-23 17:32:45 UTC
Tested :)....works like a charm...

I am close to finishing a stage 3 install with that disk, and so far so great.
