Name: Tiziano M
Name: Tiziano Müller Nickname: dev-zero Email: gentoo@dev-zero.ch Tiziano will help maintain PostgreSQL and related ebuilds, he already has good experience writing ebuilds thanks to Project Sunrise, where he started off helping out. I'm his mentor, and confirm (as probably only alive member) that the PostgreSQL team is looking for people. ;) He already completed the ebuild-quiz and I'm satisfied with the answers, he'll send it along to you in a few minutes. During the next weeks I'll have him work on the PostgreSQL overlay and do the end-of-mentoring quiz, so that we can have him as a full-fledged dev ASAP. :) Best regards, CHTEKK.
Quizzes already received and looked over. As pointed out in the mail, I would like to see a few corrections there. The corrections are fairly small and not critical, but I'd like to make sure you are aware of them. So, please make the corrections and re-send the quizzes to recruiters@. As soon as I have checked them again, we can proceed.
I have received the revised EoM quiz and am happy with it, so we agreed on meeting on IRC tomorrow, 2200 CEST for the final setup.
everything's done, except that I didn't yet manage to write out the 'ue' as real umlaut in ldap and userinfo.xml. Will do that tomorrow, keeping the bug open as reminder.

looks inactive for a long time
Thanks for the reminder, I definitely have to start removing myself from the maintenance of some packages :( Is it ok if I go through one-by-one and see whether I can bring at least some of them into a maintainable state again?
Sure, go ahead :)
ok, bug 529570, more to follow
To be honest, I think we should either proceed with the retirement here or at least remove the commit access bit. One authored commit since 2017 is definitely too low activity to justify commit access, especially that this commit proves that the author is not aware of the current standards within Gentoo (GLEP 66, for example). With this level of activity, proxy-maint should be a fully satisfactory method of maintaining the remaining packages, while adding a helpful review layer.
@mgorny: can you please point out what was wrong with my last commit because I'm pretty sure I followed the workflow to the point. And yes, I plan to work through my bug list.

Tiziano, if you're planning on lightening your maintenance load, might I suggest that you go aggressively about it? Bugzilla shows[1] that there are a few open security bugs involving you. None of them have any comment or action from you, some of them are left completely unattended (libcacard being the worst offender. we can also expect, I guess, gosa-core's security ticket to be left to rot as well) Otherwise, git-cola is, I think, a rather popular package, but I think that it has been maintained less well than if it had been properly flagged as "maintainer needed". Might I also suggest that you remove yourself from projects you don't plan on involving yourself into? If all you want to do as a Gentoo developer is maintain sys-devel/dwz, that's fine IMHO, but please update metadata accordingly to let others take over or treecleaners go over rotten packages. 1:https://bugs.gentoo.org/buglist.cgi?email1=security%40gentoo.org&email2=dev-zero%40gentoo.org&emailassigned_to1=1&emailcc2=1&emailtype1=substring&emailtype2=substring&list_id=4011828&query_format=advanced&resolution=---
I see three new commits in Jul/Aug, and again lack of developer activity for almost 3 months. At the same time Virgil's remark still stands (unaddressed security bugs). Plus, you seem to be listed as a maintainer for huge number of packages. All that considered, I'm giving you one more ping. If the situation doesn't improve in the next two weeks, I'm going to proceed with package reassignment and second mail. (please disregard the whiteboard change, it's to make the scripts happy with the new deadline)
@Virgil, could you provide an update, please?
I can also do that myself: git-cola got tested and bumped, net-nds/gosa-* pmasked and flagged for removal.
also, #663704 unblocked
sorry, meant #611348
It seems to me that the situation regarding unattended security bugs is fixed. The 4 bugs still open (it looks like something's changed with bugzilla's default search params because my earlier link shows closed bugs as well) involving dev-zero are properly handled. So the biggest pain point is gone. The rest of my remarks were secondary and didn't alone justify undertaker action.
Thank you both.
