Description vbe 2006-07-19 05:27:48 UTC
After a successful install of dev-db/mysql-4.1.20,
'emerge --config =dev-db/mysql-4.1.20' die with the following error:

!!! ERROR: dev-db/mysql-4.1.20 failed.
Call stack:
  ebuild.sh, line 1520: Called pkg_config
  ebuild.sh, line 1248: Called mysql_pkg_config
  mysql.eclass, line 619: Called die

!!! MySQL databases not installed
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.

Please note that I'm using gentoo-hardened with sandbox, userpriv and usersandbox portage features enabled.

Setting 'chmod 777 -R /srv' temporally solved the problem.

Don't restrict bugs without any reason. Just leave the checkboxes alone.

Whatever, this version isn't even in portage any more. If you have problems w/ current stable ones, file a new bug.
