X-server not started.
/var/log/xorg.o.log unable to open config file
various errors: module load failed: nv, fbdev, vesa, vga, mouse, kbd.

Please post the checksum for the CD you're reporting against.

I'm assuming this is the same ISO that you sent an email about to release@g.o this morning.

The failing CPU detection and missing ALSA modules are known issues. X is "working" on the latest ISO. There's a weird baselayout bug that's causing mkxf86config not to run, so xorg.conf doesn't get created. To get around this, once gdm fails, just do '/etc/init.d/x-setup start && /etc/init.d/xdm restart' to get into X.

You also mentioned in the email that 'docache' failed. Can you give more details? Keep in mind that this feature probably won't work if you have less than 1.5GB of memory.

These should all be fixed in the latest ISO images.
