with german locale (de_DE) gdm-2.8.0.8, one cannot use the actions (Aktionen)  menu via keyboard shortcut, because it has the same hotkey (a) as the Cancel (Abbrechen) menu.

Please, report this upstream if it's still a problem in 2.14.9-r1. Not a Gentoo bug.
