I don't know if anyone particularly cares... I'm running an amd64 kernel, and if I specify a local version* when compiling the kernel, x11-drivers/ati-drivers is unable to find the kernel source, and bombs out while compiling. I updated the wiki at the attached address so people had a hope of fixing it since the errors it throws are a bit cryptic. Other packages don't have this problem, so there has to be something that can be done. I'm assuming the script is using 'uname -r' to construct the path to the sources, and if you have a local version specified... well, that doesn't work. *Just in case I'm the only one who ever uses local version, I'm talking about: General setup ---> () Local version - append to kernel release
I am unable to reproduce this. Can you attach a build log if this still happens with recent versions (test with 8.34.8 if possible)?
I can't repro this any more with recent builds. I'll remove the workaround from the wiki.
