Description CBke -Left- bye 2006-07-17 15:38:34 UTC
sys-apps/rlocate-0.5.1 fails with sys-kernel/vanilla-sources-2.6.18_rc2

configure dies with : "checking for kernel version... 0.0.0"

with these versions:

sys-kernel/vanilla-sources-2.6.18_rc2  USE="-build -doc -symlink" 0 kB
sys-apps/rlocate-0.5.1  0 kB

ls -alsd /usr/src/linux
0 lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 17 Jul 17 23:58 /usr/src/linux -> linux-2.6.18-rc2/

if i add

#define UTS_RELEASE "2.6.18-rc2"

to /usr/src/linux/include/linux/version.h

configure sais : "checking for kernel version... 2.6.18-rc2"

and the emerge of rlocate is a success

then why was bug #147567 (which I opened) tagged as a duplicate?
