Description Georg Sahli 2006-07-17 13:34:52 UTC
Hello,
today I did like to install media-video/kdenlive but it will use ffmpeg version2.x.
Until today the only version wich did compile ok was ffmpeg version 1.x

I already did reinstall:
libdc1394 (ok)
libraw1394 (ok)
libavc1394 (ok)
libdv (ok)

When AMD64 users can upgrade to the newer versions?

(Since this Gentoo forums thread [09.2005] the failure is noticed:
http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-376350-highlight-implicit+declaration+dc1394stopisotransmission.html
and until today in all version-2 unfixed, on 09.2005 I did start my installation.)

So my bug is in the attachment:

Comment 2 Georg Sahli 2006-07-17 17:00:03 UTC
Ok, could resolve this bug:
"media-libs/libdc1394" did emerge fine before and with "emerge media-libs/libdc1394 -p" I saw the correct version installed, but it wasn't.
By running "emerge world" it was marked again as the old version und marked for update, a re-emerge did run fine, and it did install the new version again.
Back in "emerge world" it did show again the old version 1.0.0.

With "emerge =media-libs/libdc1394-1.2.1" the failure could be fixed, ffmpeg, did compile fine after using that way.

So, still is the question why emerge did produce this failure?

Is this bug solved by the change that ffmpeg depending on =media-libs/libdc1394-1 ?
Comment 4 Georg Sahli 2006-12-19 22:35:23 UTC
After I did emerge it in the way I did desribe above, the failure do not came back again.

As it works for you I close it as I think it is already fixed.
Please reopen if it comes back.
