Description Ole Trenner 2006-07-17 13:32:41 UTC
Attempting to emerge cinepaint fails with the following error message:

=== Message start ===

[several lines starting with QA Notice: ...]
QA Notice: //usr/share/man/man1/cinepainttool.1 installed in ${D}/${D}

!!! ERROR: media-video/cinepaint-0.19.0 failed.
Call stack:
  misc-functions.sh, line 409:   Called install_qa_check
  misc-functions.sh, line 182:   Called die

!!! Aborting due to QA concerns: 56 files installed in /var/tmp/portage/cinepaint-0.19.0/image///var/tmp/portage/cinepaint-0.19.0/image/
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.

!!! install_qa_check failed; exiting.

=== Message End ===

The QA message suggests a sandbox violation, but I do not have the knowledge to change Makefiles/whatever to try to fix this issue.

Since cinepaint is more or less the only application in portage to handle HDRI/32bit Image Files, help would be greatly appreciated.

FYI: emerge --info:

fixed ebuild

try using this ebuild instead of the original one
Comment 2 Ole Trenner 2006-08-14 12:21:03 UTC
Your attached ebuild works here for cinepaint 0.19.0.

Thanks a lot!

(for "emerge --info" see bug description)

Have got the same bug using the "stable" cinepaint 0.18.3 ebuild

you can apply the same patch :
in the ebuild, replace
einstall DESTDIR=${D} || die "einstall failed"
with
make install DESTDIR=${D} || die "einstall failed"
Comment 5 Cees Koolen 2006-08-22 00:37:13 UTC
Using the patch works for me.
Thanx!

This version has been removed, 0.21.1 fixes this and has just been stablilised on x86.
