bugs #5250 moved the aliases from bash_profile to bashrc, but sometime since then they've gone entirely.
It's been such a long time since I've done a complete fresh install, so no idea when they disappeared, but could we get them back please?

yeah, the alias was removed for portability reasons ... it is now in the default bashrc skel file

Fair enough, can't argue with that.
However, the aliases aren't in the bashrc skel file, or anywhere.

yeah, looks like they were lost in the shuffle ... ive added ones for ls and grep
