gnome-2.14.2 is already available for a while (and seems to be marked as stable on at least x86) though latest gnome-light ebuild verison is 2.14.0
I agree with you. It seems that gnome-base/gnome-light isn't mantained as well as gnome-base/gnome ebuild. I'm thinking to use it for gnome-2.14.x because I don't use evolution, epiphany and other things... But I want to understand if it will be supported as gnome "heavy" ebuild :) I don't known why this happen, probably because there are too many differences with gnome-base/gnome ebuild?
I would also like this ebuild to be better maintained.
Created attachment 95142 [details] Proposal for gnome-light-2.14.2 Took gnome-light-2.14.0.ebuild and changed revs to match gnome-2.14.2.
edit to above: I am also interested in an updated gnome-light. I don't really know how to write/test my own ebuilds, but it looks straightforward to make one from gnome-2.14.2. Does the attached gnome-light-2.14.2-test.ebuild make sense?
since I was uptodate by emerge -uD there was nothing to do. so that thing works fine from my point of view.
2.16.0 is in the tree, marking as fixed
