This is what I got when attempting to install the 1/14/03 snapshot of rc3 candidate (a transcription) scanning for nvnet entering kdb (current-0x8fd6a000, pid 3142) on processor 0 Oops: invalid operand due to oops @ .... This was followed by a core dump. the livecd booted successfully when I passed it the -nonet parameter. The machine I'm working with has an AMD K6-2 500 MHz processor, 256 MB RAM, and a Tyan S1590S Trinity 100AT motherboard, which features the VIA MVP AGPset. It has run multiple versions of Linux (Slackware distros) as well as Windoze NT over the two and 1/2 years it's been in service. The NIC is a Kingston KNE110TX/100B that's been successfully used with the tulip drivers in the past.
The 1/14/03 experimental was a 2.4.21pre3-ac kernel. Which seems to cause major problems for all. 1/13/03 contains xfs-sources-pre4 which should work fine on your system. another livecd should be out today with xfs-sources-pre5. It has a few bootup fixes, plus quite a few new nic drivers.
i told you the wrong information on kernel version, that livecd does contain xfs-sources-pre4. ill look into this.
try latest livecd please
Please test the latest LiveCD and reopen if the problem persists.
