The old version of linux-wlan-ng uses pcmcia, I would like to get rid of that 08 Feb 2004; Peter Johanson <latexer@gentoo.org> linux-wlan-ng-0.2.0-r3.ebuild: Marking stable. Needed for module-init-tools fixes. Betelgeuse has said he will not support a stable version for the 2.6 kernel and thus I suggest to remove the stable keyword so that no stable users get broken. Current stable version has multiple issues, probably does not even build with the latest stable 2.6 kernel. x86: ok to remove the stable one so that new users directly use ~arch? hppa: can you please ~arch a new version or remove your keyword?

Do you want us to move 0.2.0-r3 to ~x86, or do you want to remove the ebuild completely? Both is fine for x86@, as I can't see anything depending on this package (other than other linux-wlan-ng* packages).
After talking about this with Joshua, I'm "back-bumping" 0.2.0-r3 back to ~x86, and it's up to the maintainer to remove it and/or request a newer, working version to be tested and marked stable. Reassigning bug to maintainer herd.
thanks to gmsoft for permission I removed all old versions of linux-wlan-ng
