This also applies to older versions, including the one in the finnish overlay. About the previous patch in this bug: the current Makefile.in takes DESTDIR into account when defining bindir, libdir, and others, and some of the changes in the rules (libmalaga.la and $(LIBMALAGA_OBJS)) seem to be there as well.
Upstream of this project no longer exists.
