Description Harlan Lieberman-Berg (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-11 10:23:08 UTC
The title is fairly self-explanatory. This bug was produced on a Dell Inspiron 600m. Without uhci_hcd, power is not supplied to usb devices, and only one bus is shown, which is inaccessable.

lsusb without uhci_hcd:
b-triangle ~ # lsusb
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

lsusb with uhci_hcd:
b-triangle ~ # lsusb
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 0000:0000
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 0000:0000

Comment 4 Greg Kroah-Hartman (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-12 08:27:13 UTC
Why would this version of udev "coldplug" a PCI device like this? It never
has in the past :)

If you want this kind of functionality, please upgrade to the latest unstable
version of udev.
