Description Balint Dobai-Pataky 2006-07-05 06:12:20 UTC
i tried different icon themes, the icons are not depending on it.
i see the 'no icon' icon for all the icons in sensors-applet-1.7.1.
sensors-applet-1.6 was fine.

Can you try running sensors-applet from the commandline:
/usr/libexec/sensors-applet

and then adding it to the panel and can you attach the output to this bug...

Also can you try the latest version (1.7.2 was just released) - a simple rename of the ebuild will suffice.

i was not able to cach the begining:
...
(sensors-applet:22093): Sensors Applet-DEBUG: trying to load icon cpu

(sensors-applet:22093): Sensors Applet-WARNING **: Could not load icon: Icon 'cpu' not present in theme
Trying with fallback icon: sensors-applet-cpu

Comment 3 Alex Murray 2006-07-05 14:49:24 UTC
The new version tries to use icons from the current theme, which may or may not exist, and so if they do not, it tries to use its own fallback icons which should be installed in:

/usr/share/icons/hicolor/22x22/devices

(these are called sensors-applet-cpu and sensors-applet-hdd etc).

So I am wondering are the icons actually installed (and in the correct location)?
If so, is the gtk icon cache updated (try running as root: gtk-update-icon-cache)?
Is there perhaps some change to a package that is ~x86 that causes some other bug / exposes an existing bug?
Since I am only running amd64, with only a few select packages as ~amd64 I can't test this last one very easily...
Can you also try re-emering it just for fun?
