the following files:
doc/filter-howto.txt
doc/releases.txt

aren't installed in /usr/share/doc

I would be nice if they did since filter-howto.txt has crucial information regarding configuration.

If you want I can send a patch to the ebuild.

Beside the syntax of the filter file, there is nothing important in those files.

I've added instead an info message in postinst, explaining what you need to know about filter option.
