with x2vnc 1.7.1 and latest X versions, when moving mouse over the edge of the screen, it disappears. it doesn't show up on the other display or the current one. only way to get back the mouse pointer is to restart the X server.

this has been fixed in 1.7.2 as seen here:

i simply downloaded the file, copied the current 1.7.1 ebuild into my overlay, renamed it to x2vnc-1.7.2.ebuild, and emerged it and it works fine.

Done, thanks for the hint. Looks like I don't get any freshmeat notifications for this project any more, no idea why.
