It is a popular tool for neuroscience people, and including it would IMO increase the suitability of gentoo linux for use in laboratories and among university students and teachers of neurobiology and related sciences. I will try to provide a suitable ebuild my self ASAP, but I am not really a developer, and might fail in trying.
