not entirely sure what to post but beep doesnt appear to be working, i'm using udev and have a /dev/console device, i've tried un-emerging beep and then re-emerging it and still no joy:

kvasir ~ # emerge beep

man:
strip: i686-pc-linux-gnu-strip --strip-unneeded

Is this problem still present?
What does "strace beep" say?
Comment 3 Steve Carr 2007-04-16 13:16:26 UTC
System that had this problem is no longer around so you mayaswell forget about this issue.
