No idea what GCC version that is. Surely not a Gentoo one and very outdated.

I got the same error, and I do use an gentoo gcc,
gcc (GCC) 3.3.6 (Gentoo 3.3.6, ssp-3.3.6-1.0, pie-8.7.8)
