Is this still an issue with kde-3.5.5?

No updates for more than 3 months... on this bug related to a version that is no longer in the tree... (both kdebase-kioslaves and konqueror moved to 3.5.5)

This bug repport can be closed; looks like nobody is experiencing this issue anylonger.
