What version of x11-proto/scrnsaverproto do you have installed?

I used the latest ~x86 version, I think it's scrnsaverproto-1.1.0.

Try re-merging it.

Which ebuild did you changed? I want to emerge it from binary packages what I made next time.
Comment 5 Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-06-28 18:52:06 UTC
I haven't changed anything. I just think that there's something messed up with your scrnsaver install. Make sure you don't install the binary package, but install from the source instead.

By the way, what do you have in your overlay (/usr/local/portage)?

Ofcourse, I installed it from sources. First I uninstalled previouse xorg-x11 and then I installed new xorg-x11-7.1 and it showed me the error what's mentioned above. So if you don't modified anything I don't believe it will works now.
Comment 7 Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-16 10:40:19 UTC
Have you tried it anyway? The reason I asked you to do this is that people have had issues with parts of the X dependency tree not getting installed.

I have installed xorg-x11-7.0-r1 and I tried to upgrade xorg-server to version 1.1.0-r1 and it works now (emerge -av1 =x11-base/xorg-server-1.1.0-r1 ... media-libs/mesa-6.5-r3, x11-base/xorg-server-1.1.0-r1, x11-drivers/xf86-video-i810-1.6.0, x11-drivers/xf86-video-v4l-0.1.1, x11-drivers/xf86-input-mouse-1.1.1, x11-drivers/xf86-input-keyboard-1.1.0). I don't know why it didn't worked before. May be there was same problem in xorg-x11-7.1 dependencies.
Comment 9 Joshua Baergen (RETIRED) gentoo-dev 2006-07-19 18:41:40 UTC
No, it was probably the weird problem people have been having with certain dependencies not getting installed properly on the first run.
