Description David Vogt 2006-06-25 09:34:15 UTC
While installing wine-0.9.15, my system (see output of emerge --info below) locked up so badly not even the SysRQ-Keys (Alt-SysRQ-S, Alt-SysRQ-K, Alt-SysRQ-B) worked anymore and I had to hard-reset the machine.

After finding out that it's wine, I masked 0.9.15 to see if it's only in a given version, but 0.9.14 seemed to crash equally. Unfortunately, I couldn't switch to the emerge terminal anymore to find out about any error messages or even the last steps that were done.

So.. here is the promised output of "emerge --info"

atlantis ~ # emerge --info

smells like a hardware/kernel problem

either way, has nothing to do with wine
