I reported a bug along with a few other bits of info I had at the time, and cannot find the bug report anywhere. What I'm requesting is to know if the error in glibc-2.3.6-rx has been repaired that dealt with a problem with a duplicate symbol , because if it isn't, I would like to know so I don't update glibc and hence will not break my X install (it redered it virtually inoperable on my system, which was, and still is a cause for concern).

If this is out of order, sorry, but I'm curious as to the bugs current situation, and I think one can understand my concern here.

It would also be nice to be able to post whether it has been fixed or not in the forums.
