Description Ralph Hempel 2003-01-12 09:00:04 UTC
In step 15 of the user guide, the user is asked to cd over to
the /mnt/cdrom/gentoo/packages directory. I was doing a new install
from a stage3 tarball on an old 266 MMX laptop I had kicking around.

Unfortunately, in the getoo environment, the CD is not yet mounted.

In order to get this to work, I had to enter:

mount -t iso9660 /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom

and then everything was peachy....

Cheers, Ralph

instead of mounting the cd again, could you try to do

# cd /GRP

does this work?

this has been resolved, changing the "15. Using GRP" section.
have a look on #13123 and # 13132

now closing the bug.
