Description mren 2006-06-23 09:56:02 UTC
As I want to enable sound output via xine-lib I get the error message that

"KLibLoader can't load the module libamarok_xine-engine
Error: /usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3/libamarok_xine-engine.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory"

In fact the lib isn't in '/usr/kde/3.5/lib/kde3' but in '/usr/lib/kde3'.

% emerge -pv amarok
[ebuild R ] media-sound/amarok-1.4.0a-r1 USE="aac flac kde musicbrainz mysql opengl real visualization xmms -arts -debug -exscalibar -ifp -ipod -noamazon -postgres -xinerama"

Make sure to remove the stale .la files in /usr/kde/3.5/lib .. re-emerge amarok 1.3, and then re-update to 1.4.
